The Labour Court did not recommend extending six weeks of step-aside pay to 14 permanent-way staff at Iarnrod Eireann. It found the Kildare Route and Accessibility projects were distinct and that the payment agreement covered only the Kildare Route Project. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and National Bus and Rail Union sought payment for the six weeks after the Kildare Route Project ended; Iarnrod Eireann said the Accessibility Project was separate. The recommendation was signed on 9 December 2011.
