The Labour Court recommended that Servisair Ltd apply enhanced redundancy terms agreed with Services Industrial Professional Technical Union (SIPTU) on 7 October 2009 to two former Aviance workers. The recommendation was signed on 1 February 2011. The union said the workers were made redundant on less favourable terms than other Servisair employees, although the enhanced package had already been agreed. Servisair said the package was not yet agreed when the workers accepted their terms. Servisair did not attend the hearing; its representative, IBEC, outlined the company’s position in correspondence. The Court recommended that Servisair apply the agreed terms to the two claimants.
