The Labour Court rejected a part-time school bus driver’s claim for compensation after a route change reduced his weekly hours from 31 hours and 10 minutes to 29 hours and 10 minutes. The worker was represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court accepted that Bus Eireann could change the driver’s hours subject to a minimum weekly payment of 21 hours, and found the company had acted within that term. The recommendation was signed on 21 July 2010.
