The Labour Court recommended that Advanced Environmental Solutions (Ireland) Limited (Aes)/Bord Na Mona recognise the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union (SIPTU) for industrial relations purposes, including collective bargaining on members’ terms and conditions. The recommendation, signed on 9 July 2010, concerned 140 workers. The company was prepared to recognise SIPTU for individual representation, while the union sought collective bargaining representation. The Court also recommended that the parties meet promptly to conclude a procedural agreement.
