The Labour Court recommended an ex-gratia payment of three weeks’ pay per year of service for workers made redundant by Wexford Local Development Ltd in 2009, on top of statutory redundancy payments. The recommendation was signed on 26 March 2010. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought enhanced terms, while Wexford Local Development Ltd said funding cuts left it unable to pay them. The Court recommended that both sides cooperate to seek funding for the payments.
