The Labour Court recommended that the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union accept North Tipperary County Council’s proposal to fill two Revenue Collector posts through confined competition. The recommendation was signed on 26 March 2010. The union sought permanent appointments for two staff members who had acted in the posts for more than four and six years. The Court said there was no agreed limit on acting appointments and accepted that reasons justified the delay in filling the posts permanently.
