The Labour Court recommended that Meath Money Advisory & Budgeting Service (MABS) and Three Workers represented by Unite invite an expert consultant to advise on proposed family-friendly working arrangements. The recommendation was signed on 27 July 2009. The workers sought to continue adjusted hours introduced during parental leave. MABS said client waiting times had increased and the service’s needs had to be balanced with staff needs. The consultant was to advise how the union’s claim could be accommodated without harming the service or increasing costs.
