The Labour Court recommended that Glennon Group Ltd T/A Eurospar Santry pay €1,000 compensation to a worker in settlement of a dismissal claim. The recommendation was signed on 29 April 2008. The worker, represented by AGEMO, claimed she was dismissed after raising concerns about rest breaks, uniforms and access to a PRSA. The company did not attend the hearing or submit a response. On the union’s uncontradicted evidence, the Court found that the manner of dismissal fell short of the standards expected of a reasonable employer.
