The Labour Court recommended that Conoco Phillips and the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union, Amicus and Services Industrial Professional Technical Union renegotiate transport arrangements for workers using the bus service to Whitegate Refinery. The company said the earlier bus service was costly and often had only two or three employees using it. It proposed a subsidy of up to €10,000 a year for a new service and consideration of payments to regular users. The Court also recommended examining buyouts for people who used the service. The recommendation was signed on 9 April 2008.
