The Labour Court recommended a six-point pay scale for newer employees at Daa Shannon Airport’s Shared Services Centre, from €27,355 to €35,562. The recommendation was issued on 11 December 2007. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought a nine-point scale, backdated to January 2004, and a lead-in payment. Management said its existing scale reflected comparable commercial operations and cost considerations. The Court recommended that the new scale be paid without the “Towards 2016” adjustment retrospectively to January 2007, with the final 2.5% phase applying from 1 April 2008. It also recommended clearer information and individual feedback on performance-related pay, but did not recommend a lead-in payment.
