The Labour Court recommended that the Technical, Engineering And Electrical Union and Mandate agree a long-service increment appropriate to the circumstances of an office manager employed by the TEEU. The recommendation, signed on 19 December 2006, followed a claim that the increment should apply to the worker’s pay arrangement. The Court accepted that the worker’s contract entitled him to a 31.5% differential above the 12th point of the clerical scale, upholding the employer’s position on that point. It also upheld the claim for a long-service increment because of the worker’s length of service.
