The Labour Court recommended that two staff members be rostered to two disputed houses for six months as service users moved from Bawnmore to community-based homes in Castletroy. After that period, a ratio of one staff member to five service users should be accepted. The recommendation was dated 20 April 2006. The dispute involved Brothers Of Charity and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court did not recommend reimbursement of the workers’ lost earnings.
