The Labour Court recommended that the grading of Pre-School Services Officers be addressed nationally, with a view to applying the same or similar grade for the same or similar job description across HSE areas. The Irish Nurses Organisation sought an upgrade for about six officers in the Health Services Executive - South Eastern Area, who were paid on the Public Health Nurse scale. The union cited other HSE areas where officers doing the same role received the higher Assistant Director of Public Health Nursing grade.
