The Labour Court recommended that Connex Transport and Services Industrial Professional Technical Union re-engage to resolve a dispute over national wage agreement increases for Luas staff. Connex said its contract with the Rail Procurement Agency provided CPI-linked adjustments and it could not sustain additional increases without funding. The Court regarded national agreement pay terms as established norms but said the parties had not meaningfully addressed their difference under their agreement. The hearing took place on 2 March 2006; the recommendation was dated 20 March 2006.
