The Labour Court recommended that Nutricia Infant Nutrition Limited return to the terms of its agreement with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and recognise the union for collective bargaining at its Wexford plant. The recommendation was dated 20 December 2005. SIPTU said the 1997 agreement covered its members and pointed to earlier collective negotiations. Nutricia said the union could represent individuals, while AMICUS and TEEU held collective bargaining rights. The Court found the company’s refusal to meet SIPTU breached the agreement.
