The Labour Court recommended that Complete Bar Solutions pay €400 to each affected staff member as part of a package settling disputes over pay and allowances. The recommendation was dated 18 November 2005. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought a 5% pay increase and changes to expenses and on-call allowances for workers in dispense, service/relief and stores roles. Complete Bar Solutions said the pay increase would cost about €148,000 a year and the expenses claims about €55,000 a year, costs it said its fixed-price contract could not sustain. The Court did not recommend the 5% increase, but recommended a review after 12 months to assess productivity. It recommended concession of the union's on-call allowance claim and acceptance of the company's expenses proposal, alongside the €400 payment. The recommendations were to be balloted on and accepted as a package.
