The Labour Court recommended that Straddle Service Station pay a worker €5,000 after finding he had been dismissed and the employer had failed to follow fair procedures in investigating a customer complaint. The recommendation was dated 21 October 2005. Mandate said the worker was unfairly dismissed without a fair investigation; the employer said he left of his own accord. The Court found the dismissal occurred in the circumstances the worker described and that its handling contravened the Code of Practice on Disciplinary Procedures.
