The Labour Court recommended no improvement to Cork County Council’s offer to staff affected by County Hall renovations and temporary moves. The recommendation was dated 4 July 2005. The offer included two additional days of annual leave for each year of building work, pro rata where applicable, and up to 20 hours of paid overtime for eligible staff doing related work outside normal hours. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union sought compensation, citing noise, dust, disruption and moving files while maintaining public services. The Court considered the Council’s offer reasonable.
