The Labour Court recommended extra incremental credit for a Workshop Supervisor (Horticulture) at Brothers Of Charity Services, but did not recommend regrading. The decision was signed on 29 September 2004. The Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union sought pay parity with an Instructor/Supervisor grade, saying the worker performed similar duties and had taken on extra tasks. Brothers Of Charity Services said the Instructor/Supervisor role was more demanding and that granting parity could affect about 30 other employees. The Court considered the worker properly graded but noted he was undertaking duties beyond his job specification. It recommended placing him on the eighth point of his current scale from his last anniversary date.
