In 2004, the Labour Court recommended that Compass Catering Services Ireland Limited T/A Eurest Catering Ireland Limited offer €1,000 to each of two chefs for lost regular rostered overtime at Lufthansa Airmotive on the Naas Road. The recommendation, signed on 21 July, cited their long service and commitment to regular overtime. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the chefs had suffered financially. The company said it had offered alternative Saturday overtime at other Dublin locations, which the chefs declined. The Court recommended that they accept alternative Saturday work to mitigate future losses.
