In 2004, the Labour Court did not recommend extending a pay-increment arrangement to nine current or former Fas Head Office directors. They argued that the arrangement previously recommended for Regional Directors should also apply to them. The Court found that the earlier recommendation applied only to Regional Directors and that the claim was cost-increasing and precluded under Sustaining Progress. It also took account of a report by the Public Service Benchmarking Body. The recommendation was dated 8 July 2004.
