In 2002, the Labour Court did not recommend that Sodexho Ireland introduce a service recognition scheme sought by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union for long-serving employees at Aras Attracta. The Court noted existing service recognition through annual leave and an additional provision for employees with 20 years' service. It said the proposed scheme was precluded as a cost-increasing claim under the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness. The recommendation was signed on 17 December 2002.
