In 2001, the Labour Court recommended that Ballygowan address any real or perceived difficulties with management responses through ongoing discussions on a Labour Relations Commission report. The Amalgamated Transport And General Workers' Union had sought to move the Human Resource and Payroll functions to the company's Newcastle West plant from Clonmel. The recommendation was dated 15 November 2001. On the union's separate claim for access to company accounts from 1994 to 2000, the Court said it could see no basis to recommend disclosure because separate accounts were not published for individual business units.
