The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union cooperate with ongoing change at Tyco under the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness. For changes the union believed went beyond that agreement, the Court recommended using the normal dispute-resolution procedure. The union had sought extra pay for productivity changes affecting manufacturing operatives, arguing that the changes would affect their working conditions. Tyco said the changes complied with the national wage agreement. The recommendation was dated 15 November 2001.
