The Labour Court recommended that a worker take his dispute over deductions of union dues from his salary to his union. He wanted Cadbury Ireland PLC to stop deducting the dues so he could arrange payment himself; the company said he had authorised the deductions. The Court found no dispute between the worker and the company on the issue, noting that an agreement with his union representative allowed payment by direct debit from his bank account to the union. The recommendation was signed on 21 December 2000.
