The Labour Court said a general wage claim for Roches Stores (Strand St) clerical staff was precluded by Partnership 2000, but recommended talks on whether offsetting measures could allow an improvement to the company’s previous offer. The recommendation was signed on 10 December 1999. Mandate sought improved pay and conditions for about 33 staff in the Accounts and Payroll Section. Roches Stores said its July 1999 offer provided for an increase of almost 10% annually and argued the claim breached the agreement.
