Labour Court rejects Blood Transfusion Service Board workers’ retrospection and regrading claims

The Labour Court did not recommend conceding two claims by Agemo on behalf of team leaders and donor attendants at the Blood Transfusion Service Board. The recommendation was dated 12 October 1999. The Court did not recommend backdating team leaders’ regrading to 1996, saying there was no evidence that health-service grading changes took effect from a date other than the agreement date. It also said a case had not been made to regrade team leaders from Grade 4 to Grade 5 or donor attendants from Grade 3 to Grade 4.
