In 1999, the Labour Court found that a worker had been unfairly dismissed from her Administrative Manager role at Tibbet And Britten Group (Ireland) Limited and recommended £5,000 compensation. The recommendation was signed on 6 August 1999. The Court said she had no meaningful chance to answer management's complaints before dismissal and found that the company disregarded its disciplinary procedure and the Code of Practice on Disciplinary Procedures. It also recommended a credible reference and that the company withdraw any imputation of gross misconduct. The company had argued she was unsuitable for the role and was within a probationary period.
