The Labour Court recommended that Little Steps Limited and the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union renegotiate the pay scale for crèche staff at a facility serving Bank of Ireland employees. The recommendation was dated 30 November 1998. The union sought a salary increase and clothing allowance. Little Steps said the operation was losing £18,500 a year and its pay was comparable with similar establishments. The Court recommended replacing the existing 14-point scale with one of no more than five points.
