The Labour Court did not recommend an individual spare driver’s claim for more overtime payment from Dublin Bus. The worker, represented by the National Bus and Rail Union, sought an individual calculation of hours worked, saying he had worked more than the 60 hours covered by a collective settlement. The Court found that the union and employer had voluntarily entered into an agreement, accepted by drivers in a ballot, and that the company’s payment to the worker followed its terms. The Court did not recommend conceding the claim. Its recommendation was dated 18 June 1997.
