The Labour Court recommended that Faulkner Export Packaging Limited reinstate a worker it dismissed, in a recommendation dated 2 September 1996. The Court said the dismissal was precipitate and its manner totally unacceptable. The worker, a general operative, had been dismissed after another absence from work. She said she had supplied a medical certificate for that day; the company cited her attendance record and said it had spoken to her about it.
