Labour Court recommends Waterford Crystal clock and identity cards be accepted

The Labour Court recommended that Waterford Crystal’s proposed combined clocking and identity cards be accepted as reasonable in a recommendation dated 20 May 1996. The Amalgamated Transport And General Workers' Union accepted updating the clock-in cards but opposed photographed identity cards and workers being responsible for company property outside work. The Court said those concerns appeared unfounded given the company’s approach to lost or forgotten cards.
