The Labour Court recommended that Anord Electrical Controls and the Technical Engineering And Electrical Union negotiate changes to work practices and basic pay rates. The recommendation was signed on 9 June 1995. The Court said the company was not covered by the National Joint Industrial Council agreement but had historically paid rates in line with it. The talks were to address work-practice changes based on a Joint Working Party report and pay reflecting industry rates and additional responsibilities. They were expected to conclude by 31 July 1995; if no agreement was reached, the Court said it would review progress and issue a definitive recommendation.
