In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that Strongbury Limited T/A Rochestown Motors pay a worker £1,000 compensation after finding he was treated unfairly in his dismissal. The recommendation was signed on 14 February 1995. The worker, a mechanic and service manager, said he had done considerable unpaid overtime and his wages were not reviewed for five and a half months. The company said the workshop was performing below expectations and it could no longer afford to employ a workshop manager.
