Labour Court recommends job evaluation for RTÉ Autocue operators

In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that Radio Telefis Eireann and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union agree a current job description for the three Autocue operators and submit it for evaluation to establish the appropriate grade. The recommendation was signed on 6 February 1995. The union said the operators had been wrongly graded since 1986–87 and should receive the Graphics Assistant scale. Radio Telefis Eireann said their existing grade was appropriate and noted it had offered progression to Senior Secretarial Assistant. The Court said the parties had not agreed on the appropriate grade under present conditions.
