The Labour Court recommended that Dublin City University and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept proposals from the University’s Industrial Relations Officer to resolve three Finance Department regrading claims. The recommendation was signed on 20 October 1994. The union sought higher grades for an administrator and two administrative staff, arguing their posts were below comparable roles at the University of Limerick. Dublin City University said an earlier package had included the workers and had been accepted by ballot. The Court said those proposals should have been accepted by all concerned and that the University had no obligation to address the claims further.
