The Labour Court recommended immediate implementation of a sick-pay scheme at St. Catherines Education And Development Centre and urged both parties to seek funding from the Eastern Health Board. The recommendation was signed on 28 July 1994. The Irish Municipal Public And Civil Trade Union sought the scheme for 11 members. It provided for seven days of uncertified and 14 weeks of certified sick leave on full pay in a year; the Centre had agreed to it if the Health Board accepted funding responsibility.
