In 1994, the Labour Court recommended that Kelly’s (Clonee) Limited provide a worker with a suitable reference stating that his employment ended because there was insufficient work. The recommendation was dated 12 July 1994. The worker had been employed as a valeter and car cleaner before moving to general and driving duties. Kelly’s said there was no longer enough work for a general worker after its busy period. The Court also recommended that the employer support the worker with enquiries from prospective employers.
