The Labour Court recommended that Contract Cleaners Limited agree to have working-time allocation at Beaumont Hospital examined by a suitable expert agreed by the company and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The union said workers had to do as much or more cleaning in less time, with a resulting loss of income. The Court recommended that individual problems be dealt with locally under agreed procedures while the examination was pending. The recommendation was signed on 4 July 1994.
