Labour Court recommends R & J Wilson - Wright and union negotiate after representation dispute

The Labour Court recommended that R & J Wilson - Wright and Manufacturing Science Finance meet to negotiate a resolution to a dispute over union representation and a worker’s pay and conditions. The recommendation was signed on 3 February 1994. An earlier recommendation said the employer should accept the worker’s right to join the union and allow it to represent the worker on wages and conditions. The union said management refused to meet to discuss those matters. The employer did not attend the hearing. The Court found the union had tried to secure implementation of the earlier recommendation and had followed procedures to seek an amicable resolution.
