In 1993, the Labour Court recommended no concession of a claim by the Irish Bank Officials' Association concerning an unnamed Bank Of Ireland worker’s duties after an industrial dispute. The recommendation was dated 22 July 1993. The Court found that removing the worker’s foreign exchange duties reduced his responsibilities and, with a lower-level reporting relationship, was disadvantageous. But it was not convinced the changes arose from his involvement in the dispute. The Court suggested Bank Of Ireland consider his repeated requests for additional duties to help improve relations.
