In 1993, the Labour Court recommended no concession on the Irish Distributive And Administrative Trade Union’s £600 claim for disturbance money after Roches Stores moved clerical staff from Henry Street to Strand Street. The recommendation was dated 16 July 1993. The union cited cramped conditions, dust, noise, draughts and sewage smells. Roches Stores said it had taken steps to limit disruption and extended facilities at the new premises. The Court found no grounds to concede the claim.
