The Labour Court declined a worker’s claim over Telecom Eireann’s removal of him from a 24-hour shift rota, which carried a 33⅓% premium. Its recommendation was dated 22 February 1993. The worker said the rota was understood to be permanent and that its removal reduced his income and future pension entitlements. The Court said the dispute would be more appropriately handled under existing company-union and employee procedures. Telecom Eireann was not represented at the investigation.
