In 1992, the Labour Court recommended terms in a dispute between Airmotive Ireland Limited and the Amalgamated Engineering Electrical Union, Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, and Technical Engineering and Electrical Trade Union over proposed redundancies and revised working schedules. The recommendation was signed on 13 November 1992. It included a minimum £3,000 payment, including statutory entitlements, for staff volunteering for redundancy; a 10% interim premium when the six-day schedule began, potentially rising to 15% from 1 April 1994 if financial experts found the company had returned to profitability; and one additional day of basic holiday. Other items were left to direct negotiations.
