In 1992, the Labour Court recommended no increase to the pay rates of Saxone Limited staff working at its Switzers concession. The Court found that the rates under the registered agreement for the Dublin Dun Laoghaire Drapery Footwear and Allied Trades applied. The recommendation was signed on 28 April 1992. The Irish Distributive And Administrative Trade Union had sought the higher rates negotiated for other concession workers. Saxone Limited argued that it had not taken part in those negotiations and that the registered agreement applied to its Dublin staff.
