In 1992, the Labour Court recommended against conceding the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim concerning a worker’s disciplinary treatment at Tipperary Co-Operative Creamery Ltd. The recommendation was dated 30 January 1992. The union argued that the worker should have had an opportunity for representation at a meeting and that his resignation from milk collection was made under duress. The creamery said he had resigned voluntarily and twice declined the offer of union representation. After considering written submissions and oral evidence, the Court found no grounds to recommend conceding the union’s claim.
