The Labour Court recommended applying Kilkenny County Council’s differential rent scheme, reduced by 15%, to a caretaker’s house. The recommendation was dated 29 August 1991. The council charged £23 a week under the scheme. The National Engineering And Electrical Trade Union sought rent on terms comparable to those agreed for previous caretakers. The Court said the reduced scheme formula was reasonable.
