In 1991, the Labour Court recommended that Pat The Baker Limited recognise the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s right to negotiate for its members at the company’s Dublin 10 plant. The recommendation was signed on 5 June 1991. The company said a Works Committee provided staff representation and that it was not obliged to recognise a union for negotiations. The union said members should be represented in talks with their employer.
