Labour Court makes no recommendation on regrading claim

The Labour Court made no recommendation on Manufacturing Science Finance’s claim to regrade industrial relations officers and an assistant officer. Dated 6 March 1991, the decision found the claim was covered by a public service pay agreement provision. The union argued the existing salary scales did not reflect the officers’ responsibilities; the Local Government Staff Negotiations Board said the claim could not be processed to finality before 31 March 1991. The claim could be resubmitted after that date.
