The Labour Court recommended that seven Dublin Corporation Housing Maintenance Stores workers’ jobs be paid at differential group 7, on the terms in the Corporation’s earlier offers. The recommendation was signed on 27 November 1990. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Irish Municipal Employees’ Trade Union sought re-grading, arguing the workers’ duties resembled those of assistant storekeepers. Dublin Corporation had offered group 5 if workers took on extra duties. The Court recommended group 7 on the terms of the Corporation’s earlier offers.
